Together, We’re Planting the Seeds of a Brighter Future.
The WOW Flower Project is a community-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing the whole child through health, wellness, agriculture, culture, creativity, and leadership.
We believe children deserve safe, affirming spaces where they can learn, explore, create, connect with nature, and discover their own power and potential. Through hands-on programs and community experiences, we help children build a toolbox of knowledge, skills, confidence, and self-determination that they can carry with them throughout life.
The WOW Flower Project provides a safe and supportive space for children to engage in therapeutic and wellness-based activities that promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being. From gardening and cooking to art, movement, mindfulness, animal care, and creative expression, our programs help children grow—both literally and figuratively.
We believe it takes a village to nurture a child. By creating spaces rooted in community care, collective learning, and self-determination, we are helping to grow a healthier, more connected, and more empowered future.
At The WOW Flower Project, our workshops are designed to be more than just activities—they are experiences children remember.
Through hands-on learning, creativity, and exploration, children are invited to learn about health, wellness, agriculture, culture, nutrition, and leadership in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and connected to everyday life. Whether they are planting a seed, preparing a healthy meal, creating art, practicing mindfulness, moving their bodies, or learning about their culture, children are encouraged to actively participate and discover something new.
We believe every child should leave a WOW Flower Project experience with more than they came with. They may leave with a new skill, a deeper understanding, something they created with their own hands, something they can share with their family, or simply a lasting memory that inspires them to continue learning and growing.
Our goal is to plant seeds of knowledge, wellness, self-determination, and possibility—helping children build a toolbox of skills and experiences they can carry with them as they grow.
WOW is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Additionally, we are open Saturdays and Sundays for special events.
Volunteers are an important part of the WOW Flower Project family. Our founder’s own journey began through volunteer service with Girl Scouts, and she understands the power of people coming together to support and nurture children.
We welcome volunteers who genuinely enjoy working with children and have a passion for helping young people learn, grow, and thrive. We are especially grateful for individuals who have experience or expertise in health, wellness, agriculture, nutrition, culture, the arts, education, leadership, or other areas that can enrich a child’s life.
At The WOW Flower Project, we take the safety and well-being of our children and community seriously. All volunteers who work directly with children are required to complete a background check and follow our safety guidelines.
We are building a holistic wellness third space for children—a safe, welcoming environment outside of home and school where children can learn, create, connect, heal, and grow. By volunteering your time, knowledge, skills, or passion, you can help us continue creating meaningful experiences and planting seeds for a healthier, more empowered future.
If you love children and believe in the power of community, we would love to hear from you.
